In June, we seriously made beautiful trouble protesting the weapons industry in Australia.Β

We danced in their faces, we made noise and smells, we sang, we performed, we blocked we yelled and we laughed. Since then we've been asking our participants and organizers "What did we do that worked? How did we make Disrupt Land Forces sing?".Β

Now, we want to discuss our learnings with you. Our focus question is: How can we build movements that are intersectional and decentralised while also building power and unity?

Thanks But No Tanks: A Report to Share.Β In preparation we invite you to read "Thanks But No Tanks - Learnings from the Disrupt Land Forces Campaign".Β In it we have laid out what worked for us building a large intersectional event with a range of disruptive, artistic and decentralized tactics.Β

Expos like Land Forces, both in the mining industry and in the weapons industry, seal the deals that kill our people and our planet. Without our attention, they get away with murder. Our learnings go beyond disrupting a weapons fair, however. Any campaign that is interested in building genuine people power, organic grassroots civil resistance, without hierarchy and beyond ideology, may find this forum useful.

We want to hear from you. We want to learn from your experiences, your thoughts and your inspirations. There may be one aspect of our report that you want to zoom in on, or questions we have not covered that you want to address. We want to draw on you for solutions to some of the problems we faced in our organizing. From nuts and bolts questions through to paradigm shifts, we are open to all contributions.

The sessions will be in English. If you need interpreters please let us know.

Here is a Rheinmetall Tank surrounded by 20 courageous, troublesome disrupters.
RSVP to the FIRST SESSION and indicate which "SHIFT" (session). You will be sent the zoom links to the TWO DIFFERENT SESSIONS for different time zones
